Activities to Enjoy on the Hilton Estate
A map of the estate and layout of Hilton Park Hilton Map .
Below is our list of favourite things to do on and around the estate
There is an 18-hole golf course at Hilton, complimentary to all guests staying guests. If you would like to spend a little time improving your skills and technique, we can book you a lesson from a professional golf coach. Please note that lessons and rounds need to be booked in advance.
With two fishing lakes there are plenty of pike, trout and perch to be caught. Why not fly fish in your own private trout lake or bag yourself a huge pike on Hilton Lough (catch and release policy)?
Could there be anything more romantic than rowing across your own secluded lake?
On the front lawn there is croquet, but you are welcome to ball some cricket, bouls, or a game of rounders.
The lake over looking the house is a freshwater lake, perfect for swimming.
There are so many places to explore, take our map and unleash the inner rambler. You are likely to see red squirrels, pine martin, and woodpeckers.
There are a few bikes on hand to explore the estate or join the Kingfisher Trail at the gates. This famous route (just outside the estate) straddles the Finn River and the border with Northern Ireland.
A walk to the local pub
At the bottom of the avenue to experience the finest Guinness in the land! Connolly’s is a lovely village pub with a definite ‘old Ireland’ feel.
Clay Pigeon shooting
Can be organised on the estate for 4 or more of you. Let us know in advance and we will book it for you. This goes for quad biking, canoeing and archery too.
See lambs being born
Spring time at Hilton Park is lambing time, with a working farm on the estate we lamb up to 180 lambs. So you will mostly likely see one being born if you are down in the pens at the right time!
